The very cool Colorado Ski Museum

President Ford's K2's

The Head ski part of the museum was worth the price of admission. It reminded me of sharpening edges.

Ever wonder where the expression 'the best part of skiing is taking off your boots' came from?

How many generations of  our old bindings are show here?

Look - our old bindings are historic and in a museum!

Billy Kidd

Billy has roots in Stowe, Vermont where he learned the fundamentals of ski racing.  He skied for the University Vermont of the Mountains ski team.  He has been a Colorado resident since he attended the University of Colorado, in the mid-sixties.  He has since set his roots down in Steamboat Springs, where he represents the area as a goodwill ambassador, wearing his familiar feather-trimmed cowboy hat. Billy was the first American male alpine racer to win an Olympic medal, which was the silver at Innsbruck, Austria in 1964.

I wonder if Gaston decorated this lobby?

A feature of our trip was feeling smug after finding $125 jeans marked down to $25.
